IBEW Local Union 1749 is a utility local that represents the annual IBEW operating and maintenance employees for the Tennessee Valley Authority. This local jurisdiction includes Allen Fossil Plant, Cumberland Fossil Plant, Johnsonville Fossil Plant, Cordova Sub-Station, and the Combustion Turbine sites in Brownsville, Johnsonville and Memphis, Tennessee. IBEW Local 1749 Meeting Oct. 14; Unit A Meeting Oct. 21 The monthly meeting of Local 1749 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, in the Union Hall at 102 Richland Ave. in Waverly, Tenn. The meeting for Local 1749 Unit A will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the IBEW 474 Union Hall in Memphis.
