IBEW Local Union 1749 is a utility local that represents the annual IBEW operating and maintenance employees for the Tennessee Valley Authority. This local jurisdiction includes Allen Fossil Plant, Cumberland Fossil Plant, Johnsonville Fossil Plant, Cordova Sub-Station, and the Combustion Turbine sites in Brownsville, Johnsonville and Memphis, Tennessee. I would like to offer a special thank you to the local IBEW 1749 for their contribution to scrubber operator TSgt Robert Garza's care package. They have sent the Cumberland Chapter TVAVA a check for $100.00 to help with shipping of his package to Iraq.
